Two Bulgarian women have died at a local shoe works, reportedly due to the exhausting exploitation, media broke Tuesday.

The two sisters died one after another during the past two weeks.

They were working at the Euro Shoes Italian-owned factory in Dupnitsa, southwest of capital Sofia, where inspectors found tens of labour rules violations afterwards.

Workers were robbed of lunch-break time and forced to show up during weekends.

They did not receive any pay for overtime labour, media say citing investigators.

About two weeks ago one of the sisters suffered a brain insult while on the job, and soon after died at hospital.

Her sibling passed away on Monday, again after collapsing at the factory, media recalled.
