Bulgaria's Department of Ecclesiastical Matters is ready to approach the Prosecutor's Office should the sect leader Rev. Sun Myung Moon preaches or holds any spiritual ceremonies during his stay in Sofia.

Talking to local Darik radio Georgi Krastev from the Department of Ecclesiastical Matters also said that Moon has no right to officiate at weddings.

Earlier in the day it was reported that Moon, leader of the Unification Church, will visit Bulgaria on Thursday. According to a report in local 24 Hours daily Moon would stop by at Sofia to partake in the registration of the Unification Movement, as he had started calling his church.

The eighty-five-year-old founder of the best-known sect in the world would stay at Sofia's Sheraton hotel, where he would most probably wed symbolically a close circle of followers after reading a lecture on world peace, the newspaper says. Moon wouldn't be performing a mass-wedding ceremony, something he is famous for.
