Bulgarian government should invest in the establishment of a special ultra-sound system diverting migratory birds from their Bulgarian route.

The idea was presented by a businessman to the MPs from the agriculture commission during a meeting on Wednesday.

The invasion of bird flu into Bulgaria would cost to the country's economy USD 49 M annually, Ivan Anguelov also said.

Poultry producers and importers reminded that infected meat from birds can be harmless for consumption after thermal procession at more that 70 degrees Celsius.
