Bulgaria Thanks NATO for Flood Aid

Bulgaria expressed Wednesday its gratitude for the NATO assistance after the recent devastating floods.

Fifteen countries - including the US, Germany, Greece, Japan, Belgium and Turkey - rendered aid to Bulgaria under programmes of the EADRCC (Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre).

The cost of their aid to Bulgaria amounts to more that a million euros.

Bulgaria called on the Centre for help on June 9, an official message from the Foreign Ministry explained Wednesday. NATO then published the Bulgarian message on their website, and also uploaded a video showing the natural disaster hit Bulgaria.
