The leader of the ethnic Turkish partner in the Socialists' draft government called irresponsible political behaviour the boycott of the centrists and right-wingers.
"Representatives of diplomatic missions witnessed the event and this will definitely affect Bulgaria's status in Europe," Ahmed Dogan said shortly after the parliamentary session was closed due to lack of quorum.
Asked whether the proposed coalition government still has chances to be approved, he answered in the affirmative.
"Bulgaria has no other option as the right-winger have no potential. If they have the potential, we could consider it very closely."
Dogan reiterated his position that Bulgaria won't see early elections.
The vote for minority coalition government, which Socialists proposed together with the ethnic Turks party, failed on Tuesday after their opponents left the parliamentary hall.
All MPs, except for those from the two coalition partners, left Parliament in an unprecedented boycott for the last years. The opposition MPs from outgoing incumbents Simeon II National Movement, nationalists Ataka, right-wing United Democratic Forces, Democrats for Strong Bulgaria and the People's Union walked out of the hall in protest against the actions of Parliamentary Speaker Georgi Pirinski.
