Business interests lie behind the murder of the petrol-trading firm CEO, the Bulgarian Interior Minister Georgi Petkanov said on Wednesday.
Yavor Ivanov Markov, 41, was attacked late on Tuesday as he was entering the apartment block where he lived in, in the Ovtcha Kupel neighbourhood.
Five wounds were later discovered over the victim's chest and stomach. Forensic experts said he had died of massive blood loss.
According to initial information two companies are registered on Markov's name - "Estel Oil Bulgaria" Joint Stock Company and "Delta International Trading".
