Bulgaria's Envoy to The Vatican: The Pope was Charismatic

The entire world is now touched by his death as he gave a lot to us all, Ambassador Gradev pointed out.
Bulgaria's envoy to the Vatican shared that he was mostly impressed by the frankness of the pope and by his ability to communicate with the ordinary people. He wanted to touch and understand each person, Gradev underlined.
Ambassador Gradev also revealed that before his visit to Bulgaria in May, 2002 the Pope spent 6 months learning Bulgarian language so that he could communicate to the people.
Pope John Paul II did not doubt Bulgaria innocence in the assassination attempt against him, Ambassador Gradev said.
Bulgaria's Ambassador Vladimir Gradev initiated a visit of the ambassadors of Russia, Romania, Serbia, Greece and Cyprus to the Vatican to the ailing Pope John Paul II at the Gemelli hospital.
H.E. Vladimir Gradev was appointed Bulgaria's Ambassador to the Holy See in 2001. Author of Termination of the road (Prekusvaneto na putya) and Powers of the Subject (Silite na subecta), he has written more than 40 articles. Gradev specialized in France, the Netherlands, Italy.
