Experts: Quaddafi's Speech Not Well Translated

Politics | March 24, 2005, Thursday // 00:00

The Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi did not pronounce the words "I swear to God I will not release the Bulgarian nurses", according to Bulgarian specialists in Arab studies.

They have finished the complete translation of the Libyan leader's speech at the Arab League summit in Algiers, Foreign Ministry officials announced.

The Bulgarian experts are confident that the words of Quaddafi, spread on Wednesday by the world media agencies are not his actual words.

The doubt appeared when the BBC expert in Arab studies Mohammed Hussein said that the Libyan leader's speech has been interpreted wrongly and actually he did not swear in God he would not release the medics.
