Bulgaria pop folk divas have declared their willingness to go to Iraq and stage performances for the Bulgarian soldiers keeping the order in the Arab country.

Local bTV channel talked to renowned pop folk singers Kameliya, Reni and Ivana who explained they were ready to leave for Iraq and perform for the Bulgarian soldiers there.

Despite the tense situation in Iraq we are willing to go there and show the boys that Bulgaria loves them and supports them, Ivana said.

The US army has the practice of sending famous performers like Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Sher and Mariah Carey.

Bulgaria has a 460-strong infantry unit in the Iraqi city of Diwaniya, serving under Polish command, and its mandate expires mid-2005.
