Five Killed by Avalanche in Greece

Five people were killed and six injured Sunday in an avalanche in southern Greece.

The group of 28 mountain climbers departed from the Greek capital Monday morning to climb to the top of Mount Menalon, in Greece's southern Pelopennese peninsula.

The dead, three men and two women, and the six injured, were members of a mountain-climbing group called the Club of Athens.
