The Qaddafi Foundation has vowed to assist for the improvement of living conditions for the five Bulgarian nurses staying in Libyan prison.

The foundation's executive director Saleh Abdoul Salam Saleh met with the relatives of the nurses on their last day of Tripoli stay before they return to Bulgaria on Friday.

A team from the Bulgarian Embassy in Tripoli will visit the Judeyda prison to deliver Christmas presents to the medics, Ambassador Zdravko Velev said.

The Interdepartmental Commission on the Libyan trial decided Thursday to constitute Libyan lawyer Osman Bizanti as defender of the Bulgarians at the two civil suits to be heard in court on December 29.

It was also decided that a team of Bulgarian lawyers would visit Libya in January in relation to the civil claims for deliberate AIDS infection filed against the Bulgarian medics.
