The first group of Bulgaria's fourth infantry contingent in Iraq has departed for Diwaniya's Eko base, the defence ministry announced.

The last phase in the preparations of Bulgaria's fourth infantry in Iraq was completed at the beginning of November.

Earlier the 480-strong unit was moved from Karbala's Kilo to Diwaniya's Eko base, within the headquarters of Polish multinational commandment.
