Parking Fees to Be Paid by SMS
Politics | October 11, 2004, MondaySofia municipality plans to introduce a new "Pay and display" parking fee system.
The drivers will be able to pay not only by coins but also by sending a text message from a mobile phone, the new head of Sofia's "Parking Lots and Garages" Ivaylo Nikolov said at a press conference held on Monday.
The parking fee will not exceed BGN 1 per hour, according to Nikolov.
New parking chip-cards designed for disabled people and for officials, as well as special regiment cars will be introduced by 2005.
