Earthquake Rocks Southern Bulgaria

A relatively strong earthquake was felt in several big towns in Southern Bulgaria on Friday night.

The epicenter of the quake with magnitude 4 on the Richter scale was located between the towns of Plovdiv and Saedinenie, about 140km south-east of capital Sofia.

Residents at the towns of Plovdiv, Haskovo and Kardzhali rushed to the streets on the very first minutes after they felt the shatter at 8.46 pm.

No material damages or casualties have been reported so far from the regional units of Civil Service.
