One female terrorist disguised as a nurse was seized after she tried to enter Beslan's hospital.

Russian online edition Gazeta.ru reported that following the raid of Russian forces, militants split into three groups.

One part is still inside the school, supposedly holding dozens more hostages as live shield.

At least 13 militants are suspected to have fled the school after the standoff was put to an end when a roof fell in the building where hundreds of hostages were held. They have managed to escape south of the town, while the rest of twenty-some terrorist is reportedly trying to mix with the adult hostages and thus escape capture.

Two female hostage-takers believed to have escaped from the school after it was attacked by Russian forces earlier on Friday are being pursued across the town of Beslan.

Some reports said local people have managed to capture one of the fleeing kidnappers and were on the verge to lynch him before special forces managed to take him away.

At least 10 militants are probably killed since the start of end of teh hostage crisis in South Russia.
