Bulgarian Ivet Lalova can grab the bronze medal in the 100-meter sprint if the doping probe of Olympic champion Yuliya Nesterenko is confirmed positive, according to press reports.

Late on Tuesday a new dope scandal was on its way to erupt as according to unofficial information one of the 100m finalists had given positive result.

Yuliya Nesterenko of Belarus completed her incredible journey from rank outsider to global sprint star by becoming the first non-American since 1980 to win the Olympic Games women's 100 metres title.

The 25-year-old timed 10.93 seconds to edge out America's Lauryn Williams, who ran a personal best of 10.96 sec, while Veronica Campbell of Jamaica was third in 10.97 sec.

Bulgaria' Ivet Lalova skipped the medal leaving behind Campbell with only 3 hundredth at the finish.

But it helped the young Bulgarian talent to move into the top 10 of the IAAF's Event Rankingtaking up 7th place for the first time in her career.

The fate of 100-meter medals is expected to be known on Wednesday when also late in the night Lalova will run at 200m at Athens' Olympics Stadium.

What is the most important conclusion from the Sofia Mayor elections on November 15, 2009?
That the ruling party GERB of PM Borisov continues to be hugely popular, whereas the Socialists are pretty much out.

That the decline of the Socialist Party has stopped whereas the ruling party GERB has failed to attract the expected very high number of voters.

That the Sofia residents are either completely disillusioned with politics, or care little about who is Mayor.

That the record-high jackpot of the Bulgarian State Lottery "Toto" generated much greater interest than the Mayor elections.
