Bulgarian rowing champion Rumyana Neikova left on Wednesday for Athens to take part in the 2004 Olympics.

The 31-year old Bulgarian heads for Olympic victory as in Sidney Neikova was deprived of the gold medal. The Bulgarian then swept the silver medal in a tough competition, which final was determined through a photo finish. She is now considered to be most serious candidate for the Olympic gold.

Rumyana Neikova along with other Bulgarian sportsmen from the third Olympic group left from Sofia airport after a bomb tip-off delayed their flight.

Two groups of Bulgarian sportsmen have already arrived in Athens. The games will be officially opened August 13 with a major ceremony.
