Q: What will be the outcome of the IOC bribe scandal involving Bulgarian Ivan Slavkov?

A: The IOC Executive Board have accepted a recommendation from its Ethics Committee regarding Mr. Slavkov and have imposed a temporary suspension until their investigations are complete. It is not possible to speculate on the possible results of these investigations.

Q: Do you think that the scandal would affect Bulgaria's sportsmen at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games?

A: While it is possible that there will be some disappointment in the
Bulgarian team there should be no major effect on the athletes in the Athens Olympic Games.

Q: Do you think Bulgaria has lost its chances to host the 2014 Olympics?

A: No. The IOC are interested in the quality of the candidature.

Q: Will the BBC film deprive London from hosting the 2012 Olympic Games?

A: The television programme had nothing to do with London 2012 and is unlikely to affect the quality of the London candidature.

Q: How would you comment IOC president Jacques Rogge's words that corruption is still a threat to the Olympic Movement?

A: The President of the IOC has stated that he will adopt a "zero tolerance" approach to any member of the IOC who offends the rules of the IOC and its Code of Ethics.

Q: How can IOC combat the danger described by Mr Rogge as "threats to security, gigantism, doping and ethical violations"?

A: The President was outlining the major challenges facing the IOC. He was not making any comment on possible solutions.
