Bulgaria was shaken by the reports for the beheading of one of the two Bulgarians abducted in Iraq.

Foreign Minister Solomon Passy said for local NTV that he is not ready to comment and that at present he has no official information.

Governmental spokesperson Dimitar Tsonev offered his deepest condolences to to the family of the killed Bulgarian- Georgi Lazov.

Late on Thursday night Al-Jazeera reported that insurgents killed Georgi Lazov and threatened to execute the other Bulgarian Ivaylo Kepov within 24 hours unless all prisoners are released in Iraq.
