Bulgaria will be promoted worldwide by mythical images, including divine singer Orpheus, God Dyonisos, the fourth Harry Potter movie and the myth-based ballet show of Neshka Robeva.

The newly developed strategy for tourism boost titled Destination Bulgaria has planned to unveil the myths and legends of Bulgarian land to foreign tourists.

The fourth movie of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has been enriched with the landmark personality of quidditch team head Viktor Krum, whose imagery background is Bulgarian.

The idea of exposing Harry Potter's fellow Viktor Krum as Bulgaria Destination's promotion image was launched in March when it became known that a Bulgarian boy would play the role in the next blockbuster.

That is a very promising and attractive image of Bulgaria, Ivaylo Gyurov, Chief of National Tourism Advertising and Information Agency said. A state of ancient history and the only European country to have preserved its original name and lasted for two dozens of centuries on the same territories, he added.

He saw the Goblet of Fire and the upcoming movie blockbuster on Harry Potter, due for release in October, as a unique opportunity that millions of children and their parents globally get known with one of Bulgaria's greatest rulers - Chan Krum, who has given his name to the quidditch team player Viktor Krum.

Legend and grace meet in the ballet dance show of "Orisiya" composed by former rhythmic gymnastics coach Neshka Robeva.

The strategy looks to stir the attention of traditional tourist markets for Bulgaria, including Russia, Ukraine, as well as Central and European Countries.

According to the Chief of National Tourism Advertising and Information Agency Ivaylo Gyurov, those mythical figures are famous names globally but few is known about their Bulgaria-related background.
