Attacks Kill 34 Throughout Iraq

At least 34 people died in separate attacks across Iraq on Saturday.

Twenty-seven of the victims were said to be Iraqis, seven US soldiers are among the dead.

At least 13 Iraqis were killed and dozens were wounded by explosions in a busy market in Baghdad. Later on the same day, a roadside bomb outside the capital tore up a bus and killed 14 passengers.

North of Baghdad, rockets hit the US base Taji. Four Iraqi policemen were killed by an explosion in Saddam's hometown of Tikrit.
