Spain's political parties have suspended campaigning for Sunday's poll in the wake of the series of explosions that hit Madrid's southern railway system at the height of morning rush hour.

At least thirty were killed and fifty wounded in the blasts.

At least four explosions were reported with one of the blasts hitting a crowded commuter train car at the capital's main Atocha train station, according to Spanish media.

The explosions were reported by witnesses at three stations -- Santa Eugenia, De El Pozo and Atocha.
