Bulgaria Marks NATO Entry with Concert by Jean Michel Jarre
Politics | March 9, 2004, TuesdayBulgaria and Romania are discussing the idea of marking their NATO entry together, Bulgaria's Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lyubomir Todorov announced. The two countries work on the preparation of a Jean Michel Jarre concert at the Danube Bridge.
Bulgaria's NATO entry will be marked with a major concert at Sofia's Sveti Alexander Nevski Square and NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will visit Bulgaria shortly after the country is officially welcomed as full member of the Alliance.
Todorov also explained that a special stamp will be validated on the special occasion and Bulgarian National Bank will issue a special coin.
