The destiny of one of the 56 Bulgarian mates approved in Sofia's casting for the for the part of Viktor Krum in the next Harry Potter blockbuster will be determined on February 17.

Just a few days ago Bulgarian producer Victor Bozhinov, who was in charge of the selection, told Novinite.com that the English company, shooting Harry Potter blockbuster, has sent encouraging signals about the best choices line-up from the casting of Bulgarian wannabes.

Producers in London have already skimmed the videotaped material that Bozhinov and his colleagues prepared during the casting in Sofia - February 4 and 5, commenting that there are some very interesting faces among the local Viktor Krum candidates.

Bozhinov also said that the 56 Viktor Krum wannabes are divided into two different groups judged by their appearance. Some of the kids strictly match "the dark hair, thick eyebrows and a slightly bent nose" look, while the other boys were more athletic build and robust.

Over 600 kids flocked to the casting but jury members showed up at the entrance of "Studentski Dom" in the center of Sofia, where the casting was held, to choose those of the boys they will meet and tape their short interviewing on camera.

The candidates for the role of the 17-year-old captain of the Bulgarian Quidditch team, one of the leading roles in the movie, were required to be aged 15-19, swarthy boys in good health. Some knowledge of English was also obligatory.

JK Rowling put Bulgaria at centre stage of the fourth book after being inspired by the country's fourth place in the 1994 World Cup. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, magicians from all over the world take part in the Quidditch World Cup, and Krum leads the Bulgarians.
