Bulgaria's Gambling Committee Chief Dismissed

Georgi Petrov, chief of Bulgaria's State Gambling Committee was dismissed on Wednesday, the country Finance Ministry announced.

Metodi Kirov, current chief secretary of the gambling committee was appointed to take up the vacant post. Finance Ministry declined to reveal the reasons for Petrov's dismissal.

Georgi Petrov, former MP and agrarian leader was appointed Chief of the State Gambling Committee in 2002. The main reason for appointing Petrov was that he is a jurist with 25 years of experience in that field.
