A roadside bomb exploded Thursday in the central Iraqi city Baqouba, wounding at least 10 people, police said.
The bomb was placed on a road near a sports stadium in the city and exploded during the morning rush hour, it was reported. At least five people were wounded, but no further details were revealed.
Baqouba, 35 miles northeast of Baghdad, is part of the Sunni Triangle where Saddam Hussein's loyalists are active, often attacking US Army patrols with roadside bombs that also kill or injure Iraqi civilians.
