Bulgarian Iraq Troops "Nabbed" Shooters at Polish Aircarft

Bulgarian troops nabbed in Karbala in the Polish stabilization zone a group of Iraqis who last Friday opened fire there at a Polish helicopter, Warsaw-based online news provider Gazetа Wyborcza reported.

A statement of Bulgaria's Defence Ministry on Tuesday revealed the Polish aircraft was targeted with an automatic weapon from the roofs of houses in Karbala next to the headquarters of Bulgaria's peacekeeping contingent under Polish command.

The manpower of the Bulgarian unit stationed in southern Iraqi city Karbala is 485, the Polish news provider adds.
