A unique gold wreath of a Thracian chieftain is on display in the National Museum of History in Sofia since Thursday.

The artifact is part of the private collection of Bulgarian tycoon Vassil Bozhkov who chairs the club of the country's big business - Vazrazhdane.

Gold wreaths are among the most remarkable and exceptionally rare artifacts of the ancient Thracian culture, which thrived on the most of modern Bulgaria, Greece and the European part of Turkey. The wreath that is currently on display is the national museum is the best-preserved find of this type in the world.
