Al-Jazeera: Saddam Hussein Is Dead

Politics | April 14, 2003, Monday

Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has been killed during the night of April 7-8 as a result of a bombing raid on the al-Mansur district of Baghdad.

This was announced yesterday evening in an interview with al-Jazeera television by Amr Naffah, a well-known Iraqi journalist who is close to Iraqi government circles.

Naffah said that Saddam Hussein's sons, Uday and Qusay, also died during the US bombing raid, as well as "half of the Iraqi leadership."

US intelligence agencies believe that this announcement may be deliberate disinformation, circulated in order to bring an end to the search for Hussein and other Iraq leaders.

What do you make of the Bulgarian Formula 1-gate involving the Abu Dhabi company EABG?
It demonstrates the total incompetence of the Bulgarian state administration.

It is a plot on part of certain people trying to extort money from the Abu Dhabi company.

It is a attempt to establish a Formula 1 facility with foreign money in order to serve the interests of certain circles in Bulgaria.

It is a genuine attempt to find a proper foreign investor for a Formula 1 facility in Bulgaria which ran into trouble because of misunderstandings.
