Smuggling of antiques was foiled by customs officers at the Kalotina border checkpoint.

Ancient coins, bracelets, ornaments and statues were discovered in a car travelling from Turkey to Austria. The car belongs to an Austrian national who was accompanied by his wife and child.

That was announced by Customs agency.

The ancient coins (1042), the statues (8) and rings (5) and other objects cost some BGN 115,000 according to preliminary data.
