A Code Orange alert has been announced by Bulgarian weather authorities for many of the counry's regions.
Severe weather conditions are expected throuhgout Bulgaria, with strong breezes and gales, with stormy gusts of up to 32 m/s are to be felt in 20 of 28 Bulgarian regions on Tuesday, the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) says.
Showers are expected in some of the regions concerned.
The regions in question include Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Sofia-city, Sofia-region, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Sliven, Yambol and Burgas.
For the rest of Bulgaria, a Code Yellow warning has been issued with more moderate winds expected throughout the day.
