Suspected Islamic Militants Kill 20 Foreigners in Terror Attack in Bangladesh
An attack on a cafe in Bangladesh claimed by the Islamic State group has killed 20 people, all of them foreign citizens, newswires reported on Saturday.
At least five people have been killed and 22 wounded after a gunman opened fire in a cafe in Serbia early in Saturday.
A man armed with Kalashnikov assault rifle shot dead his wife and four other people in the cafe in the town of Zitiste, about 80 kilometers north of the capital, Belgrade, at around 0140 local time, according to Serbian broadcaster RTS.
Then the man, identified only as Z.S., shot randomly at other occupants of the cafe.
Seven of those wounded have undergone surgery and remain in serious condition. There were at least three children among the injured.
The gunman was arrested by the police, RTS said.
The motives behind behind the shooting remain unclear.
Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said the shooter's weapon was illegal.
Zitiste is located close to the northern city of Zrenjanin, in Serbia’s Vojvodina province.
