FlixBus Expands Routes from Bulgaria: New Connections to Thessaloniki, Athens, and More
FlixBus, the renowned European bus company, is set to launch new routes to and from Bulgaria in anticipation of the summer season
A fifteen-member jury, including representatives from the media and the tourist sector as well as marketing and PR specialists, failed to select a winner in the competition for a new tourist logo of Bulgaria.
None of the seven shortlisted entries managed to garner majority of the votes cast in each of the two rounds held on Thursday.
The proposal featuring stylised images of sun, mountain and sea was the closest to winning the competition, managing to garner seven votes in the first round and six in the second one.
In the first round, seven members of the jury abstained, while one member voted in favour of another proposal.
The results from the first round necessitated the holding of a second round, in which nine members abstained.
Thus the public jury failed to select a winner and the tourism ministry will not incur any expenditures.
During the discussion of the jury, the results from the public voting on the website of the ministry were also taken into account. The entry which was closest to winning the competition had garnered more that 751 votes in favour.
The rules of the competition provided that the selected winner will be invited to devise a brand book for the use of the logo amounting to BGN 10 000.
The members of the jury congratulated the ministry for the public approach in the organisation of the competition.
They expressed readiness to participate with ideas and proposals in further stages of the current competition or the launch of new ones.
A total of 183 proposals had been submitted for participation in the competition, but a professional jury of established art and design experts shortlisted seven entries to proceed to the next stage.
