The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised on Friday citizens to avoid train travel through Hungary.

According to information of the Bulgarian embassy in Budapest, international trains through Hungary have been suspended for an indefinite period of time.

The ministry advises against boarding international trains to western Europe or Moscow via Hungary, as travellers might be forced to continue their journey by bus or airplane.

Hungary has suspended international trains in an attempt to prevent the spread of refugees, who have been flocking to the country, further into western Europe.
