Montenegro is ready for NATO membership.

The statement was made by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov following talks with his counterpart Milo Dukanovic Friday.

''I have stated numerous times that peace on the Balkans will come when we all become members of the EU,'' Borisov added.

A bilateral agreement was contracted in the field of culture, during the meeting of the two PMs held at the Council of Ministers in Sofia.

The document was signed by the Bulgarian Minister of Culture Vezhdi Rashidov and his colleague from Montenegro Pavle Goranovic.

Bilateral discussions in the fields of economics, tourism and culture will also take place.
