Ford had severe cuts on the head and was transported to a nearby hospital immediately after the accident, NBC News reported.
“It appears that he clipped the top of a tree and came to a rest on the golf course,” said Patrick Jones, investigator with the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) at a news conference.
A fire department official helping at the scene made a statement that Ford was ''alert and conscious'' when he was transported to the hospital, TIME magazine reported.
Ford's son, chef Ben Ford further assured that the famous actor is alive and well, and that he is just as strong as he appears to be.
The actor's press office director Ina Treciokas announced after the medical examination, that Ford will make a full recovery.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the NTSB will both be working on establishing the causes for the accident.
