Bulgaria: Fire at Hotel in Bulgaria's Bansko Ski Resort Extinguished

A hotel in the ski resort of Bansko was on fire on Wednesday morning, with flames raging on its 3rd and 4th floor.

The report was submitted sometime before 07:00 EET (05:00 GMT), according to BGNES news service.

As of 08:50 EET the fire has been put out.

All guests of the Chateau Vatsarov hotel, which had been packed with tourists who chose the mountain for their winter holiday, are now evacuated.

No-one has been reported wounded so far.

Officials quoted by the Bulgarian National Television say the incident was most likely caused by a short circuit.
