The promotion agency of reigning heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko K2 has filed a lawsuit against Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev because of his allegations that the Ukrainian might be using drugs.

Pulev announced this at a meeting with Bulgarian media in Sofia earlier today.

In the months leading to their November 15 match, Pulev protested being subjected to rigorous drug testing, while Klitschko had been spared from it.

The Bulgarian repeatedly called his opponent to be tested on an equal footing, but the Ukrainian refused, leading to Pulev's accusations.

According to the Bulgarian, the lawsuit had been filed before the match, as part of the strategy to distract his attention.

This is one of the reasons for which Pulev continues to hold Klitschko in low regard.
