The sixth edition of the “Northern Lights” festival for Nordic cinema will take place in Sofia's Cinema House (Dom na kinoto), Euro Cinema, Odeon and G8 cultural centre December 3 – 11.
The festival will open with Jan Troell's “The Last Sentence” in the Cinema House, which won awards at the Montreal and Chicago film festivals.
The programme includes “North of the Sun”, for which the ticket pre-sale already started, Bille August's “Marie Kr?yer ”, the Finnish-German comic science fiction movie “Iron Sky” whose script writer Johanna Sinisalo will be a guest at the Sofia Literary Festival and “The Purge” - an adaptation of Sofi Oksanen's eponymous book.
In the programme also stand out the Danish film “A Hijacking”, winner of numerous European film awards and “Call Girl”, nominated for best film by the European Film Academy.
Tickets, priced BGN 7 can be purchased at the cinemas' box offices.
