The Confederation of the Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB) – the largest business association in the country – demanded speedy formation of a stable new government at a meeting with the GERB leader Boyko Borisov.

The organisation representatives noted that the freezing of EU funds is causing considerable problems in the construction sector, in which various companies are expecting payments from the state to the tune of over BGN 1 B.

The KRIB representatives also demanded a budget update, as in their opinion, the payments from EU programmes were not enough to guarantee the financial stability of the country.

According to a press release of GERB, Borisov pledged to hold transparent negotiations with the other parliamentary represented parties.
