Daniel Mitov Ready for Foreign Minister Role Amid Geopolitical Test in Bulgaria
Daniel Mitov, Deputy Chairman of GERB, has expressed his readiness to assume the position of Acting Foreign Minister
A milder and more ordinary elections campaign leading to October 5's snap poll should be expected this year, sociologist Andrey Raychev believes.
He told the Bulgarian National Television that the "main scandal" that recently rocked Bulgaria had already been left behind.
"This was a year of scandals following the 2013 elections, six months of protests, six months of a post-protest situation in which the scandal between opposition and [those in] power turned into a scandal between the ruling parties which stepped down in a non-deliberate way. So both accusations and counter-accusations - all has been done," Raychev explained.
He warned politicians were now "hopelessly" detached from people's voices, with the latter considering them "freaks".
Secondly, "the country needs mobilization, we should start doing more for less money," Raychev added.
"The Bulgarian nation gives power when it is in love. It fell in love with Ivan Kostov and gave him all the power, [then] with Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and the last love, on the road to coming back as "half-love", is Boyko Borisov," Raychev also believes.
He foresaw a government of center-right GERB and right-wing Reformist Bloc after the snap poll, but stressed the two parties would end up "brawling".
