Bulgaria's Government Expands Protected Areas

Society » ENVIRONMENT | April 24, 2014, Thursday // 12:28

Bulgaria's Government will expand the Natura 2000 network by 485 hectares, said the Government press office.

It will expand two already existing protected areas in northeastern Bulgaria – Kraimorska Dobrudzha and Kaliakra Complex and creates a new one – Devnenski Hulmove.

The expansion of Natura 2000 is a result of additional surveys of the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystems of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
