Russia Threatens to Fire Back at EU over Sanctions
Russia will keep its right to appropriately respond to EU sanctions, a spokesman announced on Saturday.
Aleksander Lukashevich, Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesman, described EU's decisions to impose sanctions on Moscow as "detached from reality" and called on two sides to return back to "cooperation which meets their interests", RIA Novosti agency has reported.
Brussels approved Friday measures against 12 more Russian officials, including a travel ban and asset freezes.
The US also expanded its blacklist of Russian and Crimean politicians, with two of them reportedly being part of President Vladimir Putin's inner circle.
In Crimea, meanwhile, Russia has continued to take over Ukrainian military facilities.
A pro-Russian crowd stormed a Ukrainian regional naval air base near Yevpatoria, a city to the west of Crimea.
The men tore down Ukrainian symbols while the base's commander tried to disperse the crowd using smoke, the BBC has reported.
Der Spiegel reports that a vast number of Ukrainian military bases across Crimea have already passed into Russian hands.
Bulgaria's CROSS news agency revealed Saturday that the only Ukrainian submarine was also under Russian command, alongside tens of Ukrainian vessels which have waved the Russian flag over the past week.
On Friday, Crimea officially became part of the Russian Federation, after Putin signed the law ratifying its incorporation.
Vlad the implaer,
you see how consistent I am with my nicks :-) Contrary to you - you even registered "Behemoth" now as one of your nicks as I know from the system admin of this website. That's why i have to switch to another name, easily recognizable.
And sorry, contrary to you i am not so familiar with Polish gay bands...ROFL
George is typical of Commie scum who want a return to the "good old days" of entire populations living in terror whilst people like him denounced them to the secret police just so the police would turn a blind eye to George's gay activities with young boys.
It is me; one of you little shits cast afloat in the sesspool that you are trying to pollute. Similar to what your fellow shitters vlad putin and vlad k would like to flush into Sevastopool and Simferopool. Enough shit has been pushed fro your bowels and now we, whom you thought you had flushed away, will taje our revenge. Your time is up!
Vlad the Impaler,
now that's funny. You invent a new nick, insult George and then you come back under your usual alias, insulting me by claiming it was me who wrote this BS. Go back and check that I never insulted George because there was no need to it - I only "insult" idiots like you, because I take you for what you are: a brainless invertebrate eating and producing sh*t.
By the way, isn't it boring to play ping-pong with yourself? I don't have time for your most stupid games. Now bugger off, retard.
Vladimir Putin is standing up against West’s aggression aimed at completely destroying traditional nations and values and creating a New World Order global dictatorship.
Ongoing Western attempts to destabilize Ukraine (as well as Syria, Iran, Venezuela) are the most recent examples of a decade-old pattern of aggression which the Russian president is countering.
The New World Order – a shadowy group of global banking oligarchs bent on establishing a one-world dictatorship – is trying to overthrow every leader on earth who resists. Russian President Putin is resisting. That is why the Western propaganda strives so hard to demonize Russia and Putin.
Focus on the subject you oximorons! This is not your personal space and personal forum!
Ahmed bitch, I told you slut, I'm Bulgarian Christian! And you French slut je suis.... KGB ?!? Communism?!?
Listen slut people like me destroyed the communism (people who know me will laugh with you), but people like me also have the guts to confront the weaknesses and wrongdoing of capitalism!
Again stop wasting people's time with your personal crap!
Yeah Vladimir that virtual mutant character “Flafulche” with countless nicknames is displaying some typical western characteristics, mindset and behavior. Being a spineless, gutless, cowardly and backstabbing individual hiding under nicknames and focusing on personal insults rather than on the subject.
Anyways I got used to that democracy treatment long time ago so lets ignore it and look at Ukraine.
Quite frankly Ukraine should “thank” Russia for Crimea at least for the moment. Let me clarify why,
At this present time Ukraine has a HUGE amount of problems and if Russia didn’t take over Crimea things would have been way more complicated for Ukraine. There would have been lots of violence in that predominantly Russian population area and many lives probably would have been lost. Ukraine should try to forget at the moment about Crimea and look at it as a “temporarily borrowed area” to Russia and try to fix the rest of the immense issues facing the country. Putin is on his way out and soon he will retire so the next more democratic governments most likely will return this area to Ukraine. It’s worth noting here that Russia took over Crimea mainly and entirely to avoid NATO troops being based there. (which in my opinion shouldn’t be done, Russia shouldn’t be the cheap Indian giver!)
Anyways what’s important here is for the Ukrainians to understand that Russia is not their enemy and cooperation and trade with their relatives will be crucial for the future development of their country.
The west in my opinion will not invest significantly in Ukraine due to the great geopolitical instability there and possible pro-Russian government in charge. Also another thing worth mentioning here is that capitalism and banks don’t just give you loans because you need help; they do it to make PROFIT!!! Ukraine is very unstable and highly risky investment environment.
Things will be rough not only for Ukraine but for the entire EU.
Russia on the other hand can reorganize and focus its trade entirely on Asia!
want to watch the Euro die a painful death, that way all these US dollars I have been saving up will be worth much much more. I stand to make several hundred thousand Euros in profits. Slam the EU big time RUCCIYA !!!!!! Break their backs, and their economies !!!!
No matter how you look at the events in Ukraine it boils down to a pure tragedy. Ukraine probably started the worst problem of 21 century. In general is never good to cheat on your family and by cheating on their culture, history, brothers and heritage the Ukrainians ended up cheating themselves. The reality is that things will be very hard for Ukraine in the next 20 years or so and the memories of the Yanukovich may end up being the good old days. The problem here is all that mess will affect all of Europe and after the worst recession for the last century Europe didn't really need sanctions!
Hopefully things don't escalate any further because Europeans didn't need any of that crap anymore!
