Bulgaria's Dimitar Berbatov helped his new team Monaco to qualify for the quarterfinals of the French Cup, by scoring a winning goal late into extra time.

The Bulgarian came in as a substitute in the middle of the 2nd half in the away match against Nice.

The regular 90 minutes finished goalless, despite Monaco playing with an extra man for most of the 2nd half. In the extra time, Monaco pushed for a winner in order to avoid a penalty shootout.

In the late 114th minute, Berbatov managed to scramble in a ball crossed from Lucas Ocampos, catching the Nice goalie off guard. This was the Bulgarian's first goal for his new team in his second match.
