Bulgaria's men's national volleyball team will be in the same group with Russia at the 2014 World Championships in Poland.

The draw for the first phase took place in Warsaw on Monday, and Bulgaria was picked in group C. The only other sure opponent so far is China, while 3 more teams will be added to the group after the qualification rounds in Africa and North America.

Bulgaria's group matches will be played in Gdansk. The top 4 teams of each group will progress to the second round.

In the 2010 World Championships, Bulgaria finished 7th. The team's best performance is a silver medal in 1970.
