Tens of thousands of Ukrainians have gathered in Kiev’s central square on Sunday for yet another anti-government protest.

As has been throughout the past month, the demonstrators called for the resignation of President Vikto Yanukovych, following his decision to back out of a key agreement with the EU in November.

A meeting between Yanukovych and Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this month, where the two signed a controversial deal for financing Ukrainian foreign debt, further exacerbated discontent among the pro-EU demonstrators.

Unlike the first weeks of the protest, the situation in Kiev was rather calm, and there have been no reports of clashes with police so far.
