Bulgarian nationalist party VMRO have called a protest march Sunday noon after the Friday night stabbing of a young Bulgarian girl in capital Sofia.

The attack, they say, was perpetrated by an immigrant of Arab origin.

Saturday VMRO supporters already spontaneously flocked to Pirotska Str., where the 20-year-old victim was working at a 24-h shop while attacked.

The Sunday rally will start at 1 pm on Vitosha Blvd nearby the National Palace in Culture in central Sofia.

The incident left the young Victoria - who VMRO say is their supporter - fighting for her life at the Pirogov emergency hospital.

The attacker has stolen money from the shop. Police have said they have identified him and have taken measures for his arrest.

The issue of Arab migrants in Bulgaria has risen to public attention after the upsurge in asylum seekers from Syria in recent months.
