Bulgaria: Greece Equity Market Downgraded To 'Emerging', says index Photo by EPA/BGNES

Greek equity market is downgraded from 'Developed' to an 'Emerging' by S&P Dow Jones Indices due to consistent reduction in market size.

Greece no longer classifies as a developed market according to S&P Dow Jones Indices, informs theguardian.com

The Greek financial market lags behind the advancements in market practices typical of other developed markets, its market size was reduced over the past few, and accessibility to it has failed, therefore it is no longer a 'developed', but an 'emerging' one, says S&P, as cited by theguardian.com
