Bulgaria’s Berbatov Shines as Fulham Thrashes Crystal Palace
Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov, Pajtim Kasami, Steve Sidwell and Philippe Senderos scored stunning goals as Fulham sealed an impressive 4:1 victory over Crystal Palace.
Adrian Mariappa's early header put the Eagles ahead, only for Kasami and Sidwell to give Fulham a 2-1 lead with stunning volleys before half-time.
After the break the Cottagers picked up where they left off. Berbatov met Ruiz's delivery with a deft header into the far corner, scoring his first league goal of the season.
Five minutes later Philippe Senderos sealed Fulham victory, claiming a rare goal with an acrobatic shot from another Ruiz corner which squirmed underneath Speroni.
Utd should never have bought him, as he didn't fit into their system.
Berba is a genius, but only as the teams main playmaker where everyone tries to get the ball to his feet - a role he is playing at fulham, and also did at tottenham. At Utd, they were playing (as they had done with great success for over a decade) at pace, down the flanks - the exact two areas where berba is lacking in his game.
