It is very likely that Greece will need another bailout package in 2014, according to Klaus Regling, chief of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM).
“It's very likely that they will need more assistance. If another bailout package is needed, it won't take us much time to prepare”, said Regling, speaking to Bloomberg Television.
According to the expert economist, Spain and Italy should not have the need to request further assistance from the ESM.
Greece's current EUR 240 B rescue program runs until the middle of next year, reminds the daily Kathimerini.
Regling also predicts that Greece is at higher risk of remaining financially isolated even after the crisis, in comparison to countries like Ireland and Portugal.
